Sarah wasn’t just my sister, she was pure energy. Fierce, funny, stubborn in all the best ways, creative to her core, highly intellectual and impossible to forget once you’d met her. She had this light about her… the kind that made you feel something the moment she walked into a room.
Sarah made the heart breaking decision to leave this world on the 12th April 2023 within a woman's refuge, after long term Domestic violence and 6 years of systemic failures, along with bullying and discrimination via the manager at the woman's refuge, and we have never been the same since.
But her story doesn’t end with what happened to her.
Not on my watch.
Everything I’m building, every circle, every programme, every safe space, carries her name because she deserved protection, safety, and a future.
Sarah’s gone in body, but her spirit?
It’s everywhere in this work.
She is the heartbeat behind this entire mission.
Through every single project that will materialise to help and benefit those that have suffered Domestic violence and abuse, alongside systemic failures ... Everything that Sarah would have wanted and needed to thrive and to heal will be under her CIC in her name, so that others lives can be saved and eventually thrive. This is what Sarah wanted, this is what Sarah spoke about with others within that refuge, this is what she planned to do when she eventually got back on her feet... Sarah is the driving force and as her sister i am the vessel fulfilling her last wishes.
