About Sarah
Sarah wasn’t just my sister; she was pure energy. Fierce, funny, and stubborn in all the best ways, she was creative to her core, highly intellectual, and impossible to forget once you’d met her. She had this light about her—the kind that made you feel something the moment she walked into a room.
Sarah made the heart-wrenching decision to leave this world on the 12th of April 2023, within a women's refuge, after enduring long-term domestic violence and facing six years of systemic failures. Along with the bullying and discrimination from the manager at the women's refuge, we have never been the same since. But her story doesn’t end with what happened to her. Not on my watch.
Everything I’m building—every circle, every support program, every safe space—carries the name of the Sarah Jane Legacy because she deserved protection, safety, and a future.
Sarah’s gone in body, but her spirit? It’s everywhere in this work. She is the heartbeat behind this entire mission.
Sarah Lives On
Through every single project that will materialize to help and benefit those who have suffered from domestic violence and abuse, alongside addressing systemic failures, everything that Sarah Jane would have wanted and needed to thrive and heal will be under her CIC in her name. This initiative aims to save lives and ensure that others can eventually thrive. This is what Sarah wanted; this is what she spoke about with others within that women's refuge, and this is what she planned to do when she eventually got back on her feet. Sarah is the driving force behind these support programs, and as her sister, I am the vessel fulfilling her last wishes.
